Angel M. Traub
Founding Partner
Practice Areas:
Angel concentrates her practice in divorce and family law, including high-conflict cases, high-net-worth divorce, complex parenting disputes, and family law litigation. She also assists clients with mediation, guardianship matters, and estate planning, helping families resolve difficult legal issues with strategic guidance and experienced representation.

Angel M. Traub is the Founding Partner of A. Traub & Associates, a respected, female-led law firm with offices in Lombard and Arlington Heights, Illinois. With more than two decades of experience, Angel concentrates her practice in family law, divorce, adoption, guardianship, estate planning, probate, trust administration, and contested estate litigation. She is known for her balance of fierce advocacy and compassionate problem-solving, offering clients both courtroom strength and collaborative resolution when appropriate.
Angel earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Northern Illinois University and her J.D., cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School, where she was a published member of the Law Review and received numerous academic honors. Since 2001, she has been licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois.
A trained mediator, collaborative law practitioner, certified parenting coordinator, and experienced Guardian ad Litem and Child Representative, Angel is widely recognized for her work with children and families across DuPage, Cook, Kane, and Will Counties. She also serves on the board of Illinois CASA, advancing advocacy for children in the court system.
Angel is a past President of the DuPage County Bar Association (2022–2023) and past President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. She has served in numerous leadership roles within the DCBA, ISBA, and other bar associations and legal organizations throughout her career. Her accolades include being named an Illinois Super Lawyer (2020–present), a Top 100 Lawyer by the American Society of Legal Advocates, and a recipient of multiple DCBA and pro bono service awards. She is AVVO-rated 10/10 and was honored as a 2022 College of DuPage Distinguished Alumna.
In addition to her professional contributions, Angel is a frequent CLE presenter and community speaker on topics including estate planning, custody, guardianship, and alternative dispute resolution.
Outside the office, Angel finds joy in family life with her husband of over 30 years, their three adult children, her granddaughter Violet, and their two rescue dogs, Buddy and Jackson. Her deep commitment to clients, community, and family defines her approach to law

Jessica focuses her practice on divorce and family law matters, including contested divorce, complex parenting disputes, child custody and support issues, and post-decree modifications. She also handles guardianship, adoption, and estate planning matters, helping families resolve legal challenges with thoughtful strategy and experienced advocacy.

Jessica Wollwage-Rymut is a Partner at A. Traub & Associates, where she concentrates her practice in family law, estate planning, guardianship, adoption, and estate administration. She has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 2011 and has been with the firm since 2014.
Jessica earned her B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University in 2007. She went on to attend Chicago-Kent College of Law as part of the Honors Scholar Program. While in law school, she worked with IllinoisLegalAid.org to create resources for victims of domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault. She also interned at the Chicago-Kent Taxpayer Clinic, assisting clients with tax return preparation and IRS negotiations, and volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with CASA of DuPage County.
Since entering practice, Jessica has developed extensive experience in a wide range of legal matters, including minor and adult guardianships, probate, adoption, divorce, parentage, maintenance, child support, child custody (allocation of parental responsibilities), visitation (parenting time), and post-decree modifications. Her compassionate approach, combined with practical legal insight, allows her to guide families through challenging transitions with clarity and confidence.
Jessica is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She has served as the DuPage County Law Day Vice-Chair (2016–2017) and Chair (2017–2018), and currently serves as President of the DuPage Bar Foundation (2024). Jessica frequently speaks on estate planning topics and participates in continuing legal education seminars in both family law and estate matters.
She has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2020 through 2025, a recognition given to only 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois.
Jessica lives in Lombard with her husband and son.

Michael concentrates his practice in estate planning, guardianship, and special needs planning, helping families structure wills, trusts, and long-term planning strategies. When estate or guardianship issues intersect with divorce or family law matters, he works closely with our family law team to help clients protect their assets and plan for the future.

Michael J. Drabant is a Partner at A. Traub & Associates, where he focuses his practice on estate planning, guardianship, special needs planning, trust and estate administration, and Medicaid applications and appeals. Known for his "ethical and compassionate representation," Mike brings a thoughtful and responsive approach to every client matter—priding himself on returning client messages no later than the next business day.
Mike began his legal career in 2010 as an Associate at A. Traub & Associates before founding his own firm, The Drabant Law Group, Ltd., in 2013. In 2016, he joined Wilson & Wilson Estate Planning & Elder Law in LaGrange, Illinois, where he eventually became a partner. He returned to A. Traub & Associates in 2023, bringing with him over a decade of deep experience in elder law and estate planning. He is also appointed as a Guardian ad Litem for adults with disabilities in DuPage County.
Mike earned his B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and his J.D. and LL.M. in Taxation, with honors, from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is a published legal writer and has presented widely on estate planning, special needs trusts, guardianship, and elder law—including appearances on WGN Radio and at statewide legal conferences.
He has been recognized as one of Illinois' Rising Stars by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2015 through 2021. Mike is an active member of both the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, where he has served in numerous leadership roles and section councils.
When not practicing law, Mike enjoys singing in his church choir, skiing in the winter, and playing golf in the summer.

With over two decades of legal experience, she is particularly skilled at guiding clients through emotionally charged cases involving difficult personalities and contentious family dynamics.

Katina S. Haloulos is a Senior Associate at A. Traub & Associates, bringing over two decades of legal experience to the firm's family law practice. Based in Lombard, Illinois, Katina focuses on high-conflict divorce and custody matters, with particular skill in navigating cases involving complex emotional dynamics and high-conflict personalities, including narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).
Katina began her legal career as a prosecutor with the Office of Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago. She later became one of the youngest Administrative Law Judges in Illinois history while serving with the Illinois Commerce Commission. Her years of experience on both sides of the bench have provided her with invaluable insight into litigation strategy, legal interpretation, and client advocacy.
For nearly a decade, Katina has concentrated her practice exclusively on family law, representing clients in contested divorces, parenting disputes, spousal maintenance issues, post-decree litigation, and complex property division. She is particularly effective in cases involving emotional manipulation, narcissistic abuse, gaslighting, coercive control, and blame-shifting—bringing calm, strength, and clear strategy to clients facing psychologically charged situations.
Katina is deeply committed to protecting her clients—both emotionally and financially—throughout the legal process. Her ability to blend strong litigation skills with emotional intelligence makes her a powerful advocate for those going through some of life's most difficult transitions.
Katina lives in Elmhurst with her two children and is actively involved in local community and charitable initiatives.

Ashley focuses her practice on divorce and family law, helping clients navigate issues involving child custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, and post-decree matters. She is also a certified mediator. Known for her compassionate, practical approach, Ashley works to reduce conflict while protecting her clients’ rights and their children’s best interests.
Attorney Bio
Ashley Pipal is an Associate Attorney at A. Traub & Associates, where she focuses her practice on family law. With more than a decade of legal experience, Ashley brings compassionate representation and practical problem-solving to each client she serves. She joined the firm in 2022.
Ashley earned her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University in 2009. She went on to earn her J.D. from Arizona Summit Law School in 2013. During law school, Ashley interned with the Family Law Assistance Project in Phoenix, helping individuals navigate difficult family law matters. At the same time, she worked full-time as a manager at LifeTime Fitness, deepening her understanding of the challenges working families face.
Ashley has handled divorce, parentage, spousal maintenance, child support, allocation of parental responsibilities (custody), parenting time (visitation), grandparent visitation, and post-decree issues. She is also a qualified Guardian ad Litem and Child Representative in both Cook and DuPage Counties. Her approach to family law is rooted in empathy, with a focus on reducing stress and helping clients reach solutions that prioritize both their rights and their family's well-being.
Ashley has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 2014 and is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Northwest Suburban Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Since 2024, she has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star. Ashley lives in the northwest suburbs with her two beloved rescue coonhounds, Riesling and Rosé. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, meditation, running 5Ks with her dogs, and spending time with family and friends.
As of June 21, 2025, Ashley will also be a certified mediator in the state of Illinois.
